Woodcote Grove House

Planning permission has been achieved for 51-bed dementia and nursing care facility adjacent to Grade II Listed Woodcote Grove House.

This extremely sensitive site on the edge of Windlesham Golf Club located within the greenbelt and surrounded by woodland designated as a SINC (Site of Importance for Nature Conservation) will be the first major replacement and extension of this long-established care facility at Woodcote Park.

The scheme received full planning consent and re-established focus back onto the original house by demolishing the more prominently located extension, the Selkirk Wing, and also reinstated the tree-lined axis along the approach from the east.

The site, its green belt setting, landscape, history and the listed building status of Woodcote Grove House have each influenced the design.
